Armenia Becomes Regional Tech Hub with the Launch of the Largest AI Factory in the CIS

As part of the global expansion of AI infrastructure, Firebird has established a state-of-the-art computing center in Armenia. The official opening ceremony was attended by high-ranking officials, including Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, Kazakhstan's Deputy Prime Minister Zhaslan Madiyev, and the U.S. Chargé d'Affaires in Armenia, David Allen.

Technological Capacity and Infrastructure

By the end of 2027, Firebird plans to deploy over 70,000 NVIDIA Rubin and Blackwell GPUs in Armenia, delivering a massive 300 megawatts of computing power. Built in just six months in the Armenian town of Hrazdan, this facility operates on the NVIDIA DSX platform. This advanced architecture allows for up to 40% more processors to be housed in the same physical space, significantly boosting energy efficiency.

Several industry-leading companies contributed to the facility's development:

• Schneider Electric provided the power infrastructure and uninterruptible power supply (UPS) systems.
• Vertiv supplied a modern cooling architecture featuring specialized liquid-cooling technologies.
• The entire system is powered by high-performance Dell PowerEdge servers.

Investments and Global Expansion

Following previous financial backing from cloud computing provider CoreWeave, NVIDIA also intends to invest directly in Firebird. These funds will accelerate the company's efforts to expand its global computing infrastructure across Armenia, Kazakhstan, and other emerging markets.

"Over the next 2 years, our goal is to build around 2 gigawatts of capacity worldwide. We are highly focused on entering frontier markets," said Firebird co-founder Alexander Yesayan in an interview with The Fast Mode.
