Armenia Opens Liaison Office at Europol Headquarters in The Hague

Armenia will now maintain a permanent presence at the European Union Agency for Law Enforcement Cooperation (Europol). According to the Armenian Ministry of Internal Affairs, this new platform will enable significantly faster and more coordinated intelligence sharing between the two jurisdictions.

The Liaison Officer's Role

For about 4 months, Ara Fidanyan has served as Armenia's liaison officer at Europol. His primary focus is fostering a more dynamic and productive partnership between Armenian and European security services.

Combating Transnational Crime

The establishment of this office marks a new chapter in tackling organized and international crime. Through this enhanced partnership, authorities plan to focus on several key areas:

• Deepening professional ties between agencies,
• Expanding joint law enforcement operations.

This institutional shift is expected to boost the overall effectiveness of Armenia's involvement in global crime prevention efforts.
