Armenian Relief Society Launches Global Fundraiser to Aid Lebanese-Armenian Community in Crisis

The ongoing economic crisis in Lebanon has dealt a severe blow to the country's population, including the Lebanese-Armenian community, which has long been an integral part of the nation's social fabric. For many, even basic necessities, hot meals, and hospital care have become entirely unaffordable.

Key Areas of Assistance

In response to this dire situation, the Armenian Relief Society has initiated a targeted fundraising campaign with three primary objectives:

• Providing hot meals to individuals and families in need;
• Supplying essential medications to those unable to afford them;
• Financing hospital and medical expenses.

ARS Message and Global Mission

On Monday, the organization's Central Executive Board released a statement emphasizing the crucial role of every donation in alleviating these hardships.

"Your support will send a powerful message to our compatriots in need—they are neither alone nor forgotten," the ARS Central Executive Board stated.

The organization also stressed the necessity of unity and compassion in these challenging times.

"Together, we can stand by their side and offer not only assistance but also hope, dignity, and solidarity," the ARS added.

Founded in 1910, the Armenian Relief Society currently operates in 26 countries. Through its extensive humanitarian programs, the organization supports both Armenians and non-Armenians by promoting education, healthcare, and women's empowerment within local communities.
