Georgian Foreign Minister Congratulates Ararat Mirzoyan on Reappointment

Georgia's Minister of Foreign Affairs, Maka Bochorishvili, has sent a congratulatory message to Ararat Mirzoyan on his reappointment as Armenia's Foreign Minister, the Armenian Foreign Ministry reports.

As reported by Armenian media, Georgia's top diplomat emphasized the importance of strengthening bilateral ties between the two nations and expressed optimism for continued cooperation.

"I am confident that under your leadership, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia will continue to make a significant contribution to the further strengthening of the strategic partnership between Georgia and Armenia," the Armenian state news agency Armenpress quoted Bochorishvili as saying.

Armenia's Government Reshuffle

The process of forming a new government in Armenia officially began on August 2. On the day of the newly elected National Assembly's first session, the previous cabinet stepped down in accordance with the Constitution. This followed the parliamentary elections held on June 7, where the ruling Civil Contract party secured a majority.

After the President accepted the cabinet's resignation, the parliamentary majority nominated Nikol Pashinyan, who was subsequently reappointed as Prime Minister. Following this, on August 3, President Vahagn Khachaturyan approved the appointment of deputy prime ministers and cabinet ministers based on the Prime Minister's proposals. As part of these appointments, Ararat Mirzoyan was confirmed to continue his tenure as Minister of Foreign Affairs.
