Health Violations Force Suspension of Two 'Art Lunch' Cafeteria Branches in Yerevan

According to Armenia's state regulatory body, serious safety non-compliances were recorded at the food service point located in the "IT Park" center at 6/12 Abelyan Street in Yerevan, which is operated by the "Ready-Steady" company. By decision of the inspection body's head, the production process at this branch has been temporarily suspended until all identified deficiencies are fully resolved.

Sanitary and Structural Violations

The primary hygiene and structural flaws uncovered during the inspection include the following:

• The staff dressing area in the fruit and vegetable processing zone was separated only by a curtain, which fails to prevent foreign particles from contaminating the food.
• Cleaning and disinfecting chemicals lacked a designated storage area away from food supplies.
• The floors and walls in the kitchen and storage areas were uneven and dirty, while exposed pipes were severely rusted.
• The ceiling structure did not prevent mold growth or the accumulation of dirt and condensation.
• An exterior door opening into the courtyard lacked a protective insect screen.

Hazardous Meat Products Detected

A second suspension was enforced at the chain's central production facility, located at 40/1 Babajanyan Street. Inspectors banned the production of a specific frozen semi-finished meat product (kupati sausages) after classifying it as hazardous for consumption.

Laboratory tests revealed that the meat product contained molds, coliform bacteria, and mesophilic aerobic and facultative anaerobic microorganisms. These contamination levels directly violate the food safety standards established by the Customs Union.
